The Trainer Amanda Leighton-Daly

Nothing to book right now. Check back soon.

My first job out of high school was in reception and membership sales at Body Works Health Club in my home town of Batemans Bay. I moved to Wollongong and completed a Health Science Diploma (Massage) and followed with the completion of my Certificate III & IV in Fitness.

I started working as a Personal Trainer in Wollongong at Fernwood Women’s Fitness Centre and later moved to Definition Health Club working on the gym floor with clients and I leased a room within the premises to run my massage therapy business.

I then moved to the Gold Coast and worked for a boutique personal training studio in Robina, Trim ‘N’ Terrific. Throughout my time, working within the studio, I ran fitness classes, trained my clients one-on-one and provided remedial massage therapy for the members as well as non-members within the community.

Beach House Health and Fitness moved in nearby and bought out Trim ‘N’ Terrific. After working only a short time with Beach House, I realised that I preferred the boutique business model. This lead me to The Golden Door Health Club and Day Spa at Main Beach (part of Sheraton).

Over my time working for The Golden Door, I predominantly worked with my Personal Training clients and I also ran boot camps twice a week. We had a great mix of people who connected well and it became as much of a social club as it was a fitness session. My boot campers were dedicated and achieved great results. This is the facet of personal training that I enjoyed the most, hence my enthusiasm in renewing my qualifications with a level 1 and 2 Boot Camp course, CPR and First Aid to enable me to bring Invoke Balance Boot Camp to the southern villages of the Southern Highlands.

I have had quite some time away from the fitness industry and over this time I have branched out into vitamin & weight loss consulting. I also completed a Weight Loss Counsellor Training Program and a Weight Management Consultancy Program.

Throughout my absence from working within the industry I have continued to enjoy using my knowledge to maintain my own personal health and fitness, exercising on average 3-4 times per week. I also enjoy active outdoor adventures in my leisure time (pictured above).
